Publish Apps under Company’s Name on Apple App Store

Publishing apps on the App Store under the company’s name is not a straight-forward process. Apple want to know if you have the right with entity. For registering Apple Developer program and publish apps under your company’s name, you need to register as a legal organization. Apple uses D-U-N-S number to identify them.

This article specifically for companies or businesses where registered in Malaysia.

Head over to this page
https://developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/#/search and look if your organization has D-U-N-S number already. Make sure you have a free Apple Developer account.

If have then good, you may register Apple Developer Account under your company name immediately.
If not, proceed to request D-U-N-S from local Duns & Bradstreet on the result page.

You will receive an email regarding the request process. Email back to them. You will receive the D-U-N-S number for FREE. Then you may use the number to proceed to Apple Developer Account.

Next, is preparing you app to submit to the App Store.


P/S 1: In the past, we have to pay some amount of money to local Duns & Bradstreet to get a D-U-N-S number.
P/S 2: Back in 2011, you didn’t need the D-U-N-S number, instead need to fax SSM certificate to Apple in the US.
